About Me

WIFE. MOM. SURVIVOR. WRITER. SPEAKER

Candice DeLeeuw's family standing in the woods

Candice and her husband, Brandon, have been married for well over a decade and experienced more in their first year of marriage then most marriages ever will. They have four children and are what keeps them motivated, laughing, and working (they are expensive!).

Candice is powered through her faith in Jesus Christ and her passion to share on the hope only He can provide after loss. Congenital Heart Defects occur in 1 of every 100 births making it the most common birth defect. Their first born son, Alexander, was born with Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome. When he was 6 days old he underwent open heart surgery. He fought for 52 days.

Candice’s newest adventures include publishing two new books on Hope, speaking on The Hope Journey and Season Support (how to support others through difficult seasons), launching Hope in Healing Hearts, and writing weekly blogs on candicedeleeuw.com. Candice believes in the importance of helping other moms through their journey and empowering them to find purpose in their pain.

When not writing, Candice is teaching for Stanly Community College, homeschooling her three living children, and leading a women’s eGroup for Elevation Church.

Most days you can find her in the Charlotte area on the sideline of a soccer game, at the dance studio, or reading a book, but always with a coffee in hand.
